Our client, a disruptive Q-commerce giant building the next-generation global on-demand delivery platform is looking for a Principal Engineer (f/m/d) to join our Logistics Optimization team to help us to create a fast, reliable and transparent delivery experience. You will be working with our software and infrastructure engineers, as well as managers and other stakeholders, for enabling our products to work reliability as scale. Our client’s production services handle large amounts of data generated in the journey that connects our riders and vendors to millions of customers every day.   • To consult with teams on the “hard problems” and help facilitate solutions by engineering teams
  • To build knowledge-sharing programs within Logistics Optimization
  • To learn new technologies in depth and share this knowledge with the rest of the organization
  • Contribute to architecture reviews, challenge the status quo and identify improvement points for individual components, as well as for the overall business problem we’re set to solve.
  • Help build and shape an organization that has deep knowledge of using and troubleshooting data management and streaming solutions

Required skills

In-depth knowledge of data messaging, streaming, or database technology such as:

  • PostgreSQL
  • Kafka
  • Redis
  • DynamoDB
  • 12+ years of experience building and delivering solutions using database(SQL/NoSQL), data streaming, or message queue technologies
  • Significant experience building and delivering solutions at scale
  • Demonstrated ability to pick up new technologies and leverage insights from existing expertise.
  • Deep understanding of software architecture, scalability, and stability
  • You are pragmatic and focused on empowering others
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a group.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.

Nice to have:

  • Knowledge of programming languages such as Kotlin, Java, or Golang
  • Experienced in both microservices and monoliths, API-based and event-based communication.
  • Experience with cloud cost optimization
  • Understanding of AWS, Terraform, Docker, Kubernetes, and infrastructure as code
  • Understanding of monitoring tools such as Kibana, Prometheus, and DataDog.
