Our data engineering team owns the infrastructure that makes the vast amount of data accessible, reliable and efficient to query, so our teams can make the best data-driven decisions. You will work closely with Analytics, Marketing, Product, Engineering and Finance to ensure they all can collect and action data.

Your role:

  • Work with a team of data engineers that can scale with the growing business challenges
  • Deliver the roadmap for the company's data analytics pipeline and data warehouse 
  • Conduct architecture design and code reviews
  • Build ETL processes, champion data modelling and data quality topics
  • Work with other engineering teams on resolving architecture and infrastructure issues and designing solutions
  • Participate in cross-functional projects that support data applications and reporting
  • Share your experience with younger engineers, mentor them on coding and problem-solving skills to contribute to a high performing team

Your profile:

  • Computer science or related engineering degree and 5+ years of professional experience in data engineering
  • Experience designing, building, monitoring and scaling pipelines for Data Warehousing, with SQL and NoSQL data sources and destinations
  • Strong data modelling, schema and API design skills 
  • Strong skills and industry experience in modern Python
  • Hands-on AWS experience – we use DynamoDB, Kinesis, Lambda functions, EMR, RDS, S3 
  • Experienced with cloud databases and data warehouses (Snowflake is a plus) 
  • Experience in database migration projects and/or with payment processing systems
  • Experience with agile methodologies
  • Strong communication skills, maintaining meaningful, individual relationships with your team
  • A passion for staying on top of emerging data-processing technologies and data engineering best practices, taking thought leadership in Data Engineering
