Our client's data engineering team owns the infrastructure that makes the vast amount of data accessible, reliable, and efficient to query, so our teams can make the best data-driven decisions. You will work closely with Analytics, Marketing, Product, Engineering, and Finance to ensure they can all collect and action data.

Your role:

  • Work with a team of data engineers that can scale with the growing business challenges.
  • Deliver the roadmap for the company's data analytics pipeline and data warehouse.
  • Conduct architectural design and code reviews.
  • Build ETL processes, champion data modelling and data quality topics.
  • Work with other engineering teams on resolving architecture and infrastructure issues and designing solutions.
  • Participate in cross-functional projects that support data applications and reporting.

Your profile:

  • Computer science or related engineering degree and 5+ years of professional experience in data engineering.
  • Experience designing, building, monitoring, and scaling pipelines for data warehousing, with SQL and NoSQL data sources and destinations
  • Strong data modelling, schema and API design skills.
  • Strong skills and industry experience in modern Python
  • Hands-on AWS experience – we use DynamoDB, Kinesis, Lambda functions, EMR, RDS, S3
  • Experienced with cloud databases and data warehouses (Snowflake is a plus)
  • Experience in database migration projects and/or with payment processing systems
  • Experience with agile methodologies
  • Strong communication skills and maintaining meaningful, individual relationships with your team
