Why Was There No Networking Area for Recruitment & Rising Talent at Web Summit 2019?  Konstanty Sliwowski, CEO and founder of Caissa Global Recruitment, and Rebecca of Mindspace Offices discuss how talent acquisition emerged as a top issue during Web Summit 2018.

Berlin Web Summit 2018

Despite a fantastic turnout to Web Summit 2018, there was no specific area for recruiters, companies & candidates to network. At this tech conference, Berlin had one main issue - sourcing the right top talent. People throughout the expo were found to be discussing the technology and the difficulties of finding the right person for each position. Recruiting talent in the startup world is getting harder and harder, and quickly hot discussion for all teams who strive to be competitive.

Issue #1 - Finding the Right Talent

Web Summit itself is filled with talent, which is a huge opportunity for recruitment on both sides of the equation. Companies need to use this chance to make their presence and brand image known as a sought-after employer. As recruitment processes are refined to factor in the experience of each candidate, more avenues to make this apparent are needed. Here’s hoping that Web Summit 2019 will make dedicated provision for the recruitment industry, raising its many parallel benefits for more businesses and startups to take advantage of.
